A time of visitation was held from 1-2 PM Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at First Baptist Church in Jefferson, Texas.  Interment was conducted in the Prospect Cemetery, in Jefferson, Texas.

Mrs. Priscilla Thomas was born November 24, 1939, in Palo Pinto County, Texas to William Travis Mobbs and Esther Mae Bennett and went home to be with the Lord on January 16, 2022.

She married Kenneth Fox on August 23, 1956, and together they became a family of four and bought a ranch north of Jefferson to raise cattle. They remained together until his death on March 29, 1974.

After years of raising Mike and Glen she met Walter Thomas and they were married on February 2, 1981. She sold the ranch, and they began a life together out on the lake in which they enjoyed until Walter passed away on July 13, 2019.

“Cilla” as we all called her lived a full life. Cooking, crafting, sewing, throwing lots of family gatherings from fish fries on the river to egg hunts on Easter to Christmas dinner at the house. She was a member of several lady’s groups such as Eastern Star, Red Hats or playing bunko with the girls. She also loved her trips to town with the girls once a week to shop. Church was always an important part of her life and she looked forward to it every week. One of her favorite past times was commenting on Facebook. She loved to stay caught up with her family and friends.

Priscilla moved to Marshall with her son after the death of Walter and lived out the rest of her life there. Even in her eighties she was always looking for something to do. Never wanting to be a burden and always wanting to help, and that she did.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Mike Fox and Lisa, and Glen Fox and Jaime Gammill; Stepson, Jerry Paul Thomas and Kristi; Brother, Pete Mobbs; Grandchildren, Jeffrey Fox & Mary, Nathan and Krystal Tarver, Jessica Fox, Hakan Fox, Liliana Scafella, Paula Thomas Swilley & Shane, Jeff Thomas & Kristin, and Lee Thomas & Lindsey.
