Marion County Commissioners will meet at 9 a.m Monday in the Courthouse Annex for their regular scheduled meeting with Earth Day 2022 being one of the discussions.

Items on the agenda include:

  • Consider for approval proclamation designating April 2022 as Sexual Assault Awareness Month (S.A.A.M) authorizing County Judge to sign.
  • Consider for approval setting dates for Earth Week 2022 in correlation with Earth Day April 2022 and authorize the County Auditor to publish notice in the newspaper.
  • Consider for approval of Property Insurance renewal questionnaire through Texas Association of Counties Risk Management Pool’s Program.
  • Consider for approvai Special Budget for Revenue received after start of fiscal year per 111.0108 certified by County Auditor.
  • Announce firms submitting Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for administrative and plan writing services related to the CDBG-MIT Local Hazard Mitigation Plans Program.
  • Consider for approval Resolution authorizing planning and management service providers to assist with grant application through GDBG-MIT and update of Marion County HMAP.
  • Consider for approval Financial Policies and Procedures for Federal Grant Contracts.
  • Consider for approval revised Purchasing Policy.
  • Consider for approval Seat Belt Usage Policy.
  • Mayor Rob Baker to present parking lot invoice.
  • Discuss and take necessary action concerning Marion County Disaster Declaration for March 2022.
  • Discuss and consider approving a resolution authorizing the use of the standard allowance for loss of revenue for FY 2020 in the amount of $701,909.29 as allowed by the ARPA Final Rule, to be used for the purpose of conducting general governmental services to be considered by Commissioners before authorized for use
  • Discuss and consider authorizing the issuance of an RFQ for engineering/architectural services for the renovation of the County Jail.
