Mark Wayne was born April 17, 1957 in Dumas, TX to Melvin and Gwendolyn King and, to our sorrow, died at Christus Good Shepherd Hospital in Longview, TX on March 4, 2022.
Mark was an accomplished millwright and took great pride in his work. He was well known in the industry for his vast knowledge of steam turbines. He loved his family and was a doting Grandad to his grandchildren.
He leaves behind his partner Lorrie; his step-daughter, Melissa and her two sons Calin and Cameron; his son, Michael and his wife Jena; his son, Martin and his wife Mandy, their daughters Amelia and Maisie; two brothers, Marland and Mickey along with their families; many beloved cousins and of course his dear friend “Shep.” He was predeceased by his parents; his brother, Matt; and his grandparents. We rejoice in their reunion!
A Celebration of Life will be held at his home at 111 Kim Circle, Avinger, TX on September 3rd
2-4pm. It is our sincerest hope that all those family and friends who wish to join us will come and share in the joys of his life and the sorrows of our loss. We hope to fill his home one last time with love and laughter, story telling and photo sharing.
