JEFFERSON, Texas—Those who are seeking a pest control solution now have a long-term option with Patterson Pest Patrol. Open in Queen City since 2009, PPP is now opening an office in Marion County to share its service with area residents.
Opening the satellite office is the dream of Jefferson native and owner Shelia Kendrick Patterson, who wanted to branch out to her hometown, her “alma mater,” so PPP could take care of the friends and family she grew up with.
“Patterson Pest Patrol has been growing since 2009 when the company was started,” PPP’s Jamie Warren said. “We pride ourselves on great customer service and are willing to do whatever it takes to make sure that all of our clients are taken care of. We elected to put an office in Marion County due to the number of customers we have in that area, so that we can better serve them.”
Patterson Pest Patrol began long before Patterson knew anything about pests. She had worked in the medical field for several years and wanted a change, so she began working for a pest control company answering phones and arranging appointments. Soon, she began getting interested in the technical side of the business and eventually became a technician and a commercial applicator. In 2009, Patterson and her late husband Mike began their successful and thriving company that serves the people of Texas to this day.
PPP incorporates integrated pest management, which treats not only the source of the issue, but also offers a long-term eco-solution for pest control. Patterson said this is one of the reasons for her business’ success, along with excellent customer service and the care she offers to her customers in Queen City, and now in Jefferson.
She said that when she was growing up in Jefferson, people would come to the sleepy little town to enjoy the sights. Although there wasn’t a lot of industry, the community was small and very close. Now, tourism is booming, and the once-sleepy town is waking up, with industry moving in and more people retiring in the area, building new homes and businesses.
With all the economic growth, Patterson said the town still has that close-knit feel and that it makes her proud to walk the streets of the city she calls home and see the blessings that have been brought to it. Bringing Patterson Pest Patrol to her hometown, helping Jefferson grow and being a productive member of the business community, is her way to help ensure the community she holds so dear continues to flourish in the future.
Patterson also said there is exactly one reason a customer should choose PPP over other competitors.
“We truly care about our clients,” she said. “We don’t see dollar signs or information on a computer. We see working families, homeowners, that need help taking care of the largest investment of their lives. We see businesses that need help keeping their customers safe. We see people! And we do everything in our power to help.”
PPP also prides itself on treating its customers like family and giving discounts to military, police, medical, first responder, fire department, school employees, senior citizens and more.
