A Sincere Note Of Thanks

Rabbi Linda/Bethel Temple Fellowship

Shalom friends.  I would like to thank all those who keep up with the articles I write.  I count it a privilege to be able to write.  I will  continue to write as long as I can and I hope and pray something is said to bless you.

My article on Veterans day is a bit late, but I will never forget to thank all the veterans who fought for our country.  Some are gone but not forgotten.  They are heroes some and some never made it home.  Some came back wounded and are still fighting for life so let us appreciate them, respect them, and honor them.  Many soldiers won’t be home for the holidays, they won’t be able to spend time with family and friends. Let us say a prayer for them, and thank God for those of us who are able to be with those we love.

There are other precious people who choose careers or are volunteers to help and keep the American people informed.  These people should also be remembered and we should respect them for their work even if you don’t agree with them.  They are doing their best.

I am thankful for the leaders in Jefferson.  When there is a disaster, they are on it. There are those who are doing their best to keep Marion County updated on political issues and the importance of our vote . There is Hunter Bonner and many others who see the importance of the American people. Jefferson Volunteer Fire Department, Jefferson Police Department, Jefferson Jimplecute, and Minister’s of the Word of God. These are just a few. Sometimes we may forget to tell them how we appreciate them and are thankful to God for them.

Thanksgiving is around the corner and even in a world  full of trouble, we have much to be thankful for.  I am thankful for Truth.

What is truth? Pontius Pilate, who presided at the trial of Jesus said, “What is truth?’ And he went out again to the Jews, and said I find no fault in him at all. John 18:38 (continue to read it was all people who crucified Jesus Jew and Gentile).  We are all guilty of not paying attention to the truth and even today, we neglect the truth of Yeshua.

What is truth?   Can we find truth in this world we live in?  My answer is the only truth is in Jesus because He is TRUTH .

When we find Yeshua He will get us through this world, because Yeshua is the Way, Truth and Life.  John 14:6

Thanksgiving is a time  for reflecting on all things we are thankful for. As believers in Yeshua, we have the greatest reason of all to be thankful; being saved by the grace of  Yeshua. This is truth that we can be changed by the blood of Yeshua.  Religion can’t change us; only Jesus who is the truth can change a hard heart and redeem us.

If our hearts and minds are occupied with the Messiah and all the things He has done for us, we will rejoice and be thankful instead of complaining.

Life is what we make it.  Choosing to believe truth may hurt, but the truth explains a lot of missing pieces and sets us free from hurt and bondage.  It is at that point that we can experience true thankfulness.

Declaring the truth of the Word of God –This world will pass away, we will pass away but God’s Word will never pass away.

Hebrew word of the day –Truth –Emet – -meaning –truth ,trustworthiness, faithful ,right,  sure .
