Jefferson VFD Chief Rod Rodriguez and member Victor Perot cut open a Gray VFD tanker truck late Wednesday morning to remove Gray VFD Chief Don Grant following a rollover accident on Tx 49E near Moon Lake Road. Grant was headed into town when a front tire had a blowout. Grant moved the truck off to the side of the road where it flipped, rolling 6-7 times according to Marion County Sheriff’s Office reports. Grant was transported to the hospital with multiple injuries. Grant has a concussion, broken rib, a shoulder injury, and was in stable condition as of press time. Jefferson Police Department and TxDPS also responded to the accident
