The Jefferson Bulldogs are sending two students to the UIL State Track Meet May 11-13 in Austin.
Luke McMullen made State and is still undefeated in the 100-meter dash.
He finished at the Regional Meet with a time of 10.58 and in the 200-meter dash with a time of 21.62.
Jordyn Davidson took third at Regionals in the 400-meter dash and, almost earned a spot at State. The top two spots go, and third place is delegated to the top performer in third place. Jordyn came up 1 second short.
Four other Lady Dawgs competed at Regionals:
Rachae Williams came in fifth place in the 100-meter dash.
Adrianna Blanton came in fifth place in the Shot Put and took ninth place in the discus throw.
Ja’Niyah Ventimiglia came in ninth place in the triple jump, and Tawny Foster came in tenth place in the discus throw.
The 2023 UIL Track & Field State Meet will be held May 11-13 at Mike A. Myers Stadium on The University of Texas at Austin campus.
