The past couple weeks have certainly been eventful here in East Texas. The hot summer sun was suddenly replaced with extreme storms including tornadoes, rain, hail, and violent winds which resulted in huge trees and power poles being uprooted, thus leaving about 300,000 people without power and many without water for more than a week.

Those of us here in Jefferson would like to thank all the amazing people who stepped up to offer their time, money, service, and support over many countless hours to prove the adage “When the going gets tough, the tough get going”. We are truly grateful and in awe of our many wonderful neighbors, friends, and even strangers who worked tirelessly until the job was done. Thank You.

Now that things are returning to normal we certainly have “A Cause to Celebrate!” and that is one thing Jefferson is always ready to do.

We end the month of June with a One Day Only Live Theater production of an original script “I Am…Patsy Cline!” (June 30th -7:30pm).
