Bulldog athletes took to their respective fields and courts this week in preparation for their fall seasons.

Jefferson football teams held the annual “Soap and Towel” Intra-Squad Scrimmage last Saturday morning and will face off against the Waskom Wildcats  tonight at 5p at home.

Donations of liquid bath soap and towels are still being accepted at all games.

The Lady Dawg volleyball teams started off strong with wins against Gladewater Tuesday evening at home. The Lady Dawgs defeated Gladewater 3-0 dominating the Bears 25-20, 25-13, 25-20.

In everything that mattered, the Dawgs continued that domination, hitting 0.145% to Gladewaters -0.079%; Serve Receiving 1.37 vs 1.21.

Assists were better for the Dawgs as well with 17 vs the Bears 9.

Lady Dawgs even out Aced the Bears 13-7, and 32 digs vs their 21.

Kourtlyn Dowell, #7, led the Dawgs with 8 of the 13 Aces. She was followed by #12 Christiana Justice with 2, and #14 Adrianna Blanton, #2 Presley Mauldin, and #1 Janiyah Ventimiglia all acing 1.

The next home game for the Lady Dawgs is August 15 gainst Daingerfield. Play will begin at 4:30p.
