February 15, 16 and 17, Golden Gloves Boxers from all over East Texas and northwest Louisiana will be converging in Longview at the Exhibit Center, 1123 Jaycee Drive. Officially sanctioned by Southwestern Association of USA Boxing, this event series will be three evenings of exciting competitive championships with doors opening at 6 p.m. each evening.

Weigh ins will be from 9-11a.m. February 10 at  1212 South Mobberly Avenue, Longview.

All Boxers must be registered with U.S.A. Boxing.

This 84th year of East Texas Golden Gloves features two special classes within this diverse field of boxers ages 8-40: All-Comer’s Division is in its eleventh year giving novice fighters’ their first public boxing ring experience and the Women’s Open Division is in their seventh year.

These boxers spend numerous hours training and conditioning their body and mind for the right to stand in the ring and compete as skilled athletes, with the goal of competing at the state and national Golden Gloves Championships.

East Texas Golden Gloves Association purpose is to promote and build interest in boxing by encouraging amateur boxing and physical education. While building athletic skills, athletes also train in character development, emotional well-being and social skills including sportsmanship, work ethic, discipline, self-respect and pride.

East Texas Golden Gloves Tournament general admission tickets for Teen-Adult are $15 and Military are $10. Children 5-12 $7 and kids under five free in general seating. Ringside 8-seat tables are $300. Tickets will be available each night at the door. All proceeds from this East Texas Golden Glove Tournament event go directly to expenses for the Winning Competitors attending the State Golden Gloves Finals with those champions competing at the National Tournament.
