The Jefferson Jimplecute recently contacted all of the Marion County GOP candidates in the March 5, 2024 Primary Election to hear what they had to say about the position they’re seeking.

While all candidates were contacted, only these responded and agreed to be interviewed:

  • For County Party Chair: Hunter Bonner and Kim Shaw
  • For County Pct 1 Party Chair: Lynnette Bonner and Kori Peterson
  • For Commissioner, Pct 3: Ralph Meisenheimer
  • For State House Representative District 7: Bonnie Walters

  • Early Voting Begins: February 20 and runs through March 1.
  • Early Voting takes place at either the Elections Building on N. Alley Street, or the Marion County Tax Office on Lafayette Street, in Jefferson.
  • Early Voting Hours are:
    • 8a-5p February 20-23
    • 8a-8p Saturday, February 24
    • Noon-6p, Sunday, February 25
    • 8a-8p M-F February 26-March 1
  • Election Day:
    • Hours are 7a-7p
