Jefferson Junior High boys and girls track teams finished well at the recent Gladewater Track meet.

The 7th grade girls finished in 6th place overall, with:

  • – Desirae Williams 4th place – 100M Dash
  • – Aaliyah Gray 6th place – 100M Dash
  • – 4×1 Relay (Sa’Riya Durden, Kera Long, Aaliyah Gray, Zy Byrd) 4th place
  • – 4×2 Relay (Sa’Riya Durden, Kera Long, Jaylee Burton, Zy Byrd) 5th place
  • – Aaliyah Gray 1st place – Long Jump
  • – Kera Long 5th place – Triple Jump
  • – Kassiah Harris 4th place – Discus 

The 8th grade girls team finished in 2nd place overall with: 

  • – Kaliyah Whitaker 1st place – 100M Dash
  • – Jade Mallory 2nd Place – 100M Dash
  • – Te’Nazia Alexander 3rd place – 100M Dash
  • – Janaa Goynes 2nd place – 200M Dash
  • – Stormi McNeil 1st place – 400M Dash
  • – Ashari Brannon 5th place – 400M Dash
  • – Brently Woods 5th place – 100M Hurdles
  • – 4x1R (Jade Mallory, Te’Nazia Alexander, Shaniece Smith, Kaliyah Whitaker) 1st Place
  • – 4x2R (Jade Mallory, Janaa Goynes, Shaniece Smith, Kaliyah Whitaker) 1st Place
  • – Stormi McNeil 1st place – Long Jump
  • – Jade Mallory 4th place – Long Jump
  • – Jasiah Williams 2nd place – Shot Put
  • – Te’Nazia Alexander 4th place – Discus
  • – Kyleigh Dudley 5th place – Discus
  • – Janaa Goynes 2nd place – Triple Jump
  • – Kaliyah Whitaker 3rd place – Triple Jump
  • – Janaa Goynes 2nd place – High Jump
  • – Jade Mallory 3rd place – High Jump
  • – Stormi McNeil 6th place – High Jump

JJHS boys had similar results with:

  • – Collin Hawkins finishing 2nd in 100 Meter dash and 200 meter dash.
  • – JD Taylor finished first in the 400 Meter dash. 
  • – Cooper Cohn was 3rd in 300 meter hurdles and 6th in 110 meter hurdles 
  • – Kayden Grigsby was 3rd in 300 meter hurdles, 4th in 110 meter hurdles, and 6th in long jump  
  • – Braylon Thomas was 4th in 400 meter dash and 6th in 100 meter dash 
  •  Brayden Poe was 5th in 300 meter hurdles 
  • – Bryston Mosley was 5th in discus 
  • – Zack Lalumia was 6th in discus.
  • – Levi Cherry was 6th in 1600 meter run
  • Both boys and girls teams will compete on Monday, March 4, at the Linden-Kildare meet.
