Lady Dawg basketball players were named to the 16AAA All District teams this year during the recent district meeting.

The MVP spot was split between Jefferson’s Kristen Thomas and Aundrea Bradley of Tatum.

The 6th Man of the Year went to Keinsya Wallace of Jefferson

1st All District Team members were: Jefferson players Taurria Hood, Keyasia Black and Jordyn Davidson; Mackenzie LeBlanc of Elysian Fields; Chloie Haugeberg and ZaQuirah Jordan of Troup; Jaynai Miles and Iyana Haggerty of Waskom; Kamyah Lacy and Keke Murphy of West Rusk; Maddie Birdsong of Arp; and Kaleigh Hooker and Rhianna Harris of Tatum.

2nd All District Team members were: Amirie Prior of Jefferson; Kimora Pryor and Sophia Lacy of West Rusk; Bailey Blanton and Ashja Franklin of Troup; Kerrigan Love and Emma Carrington of Elysian Fields; Savanna Thomas of Waskom; Addison Carpenter and Ja-Neciya Potts of Arp; and Katelyn Jacobs and Alecia Halton of Tatum.

Academic All-District included Jefferson’s Keyasia Black, Jordyn Davidson, Taurria Hood, Keinysa Wallace, Ava Phillips, Kristen Thomas, Akilah Brasher, Casey Shepard, and Alaysia Durden.

Others named to the All District Teams were:

Offensive MVP was split between Camdyn Scott of Tatum and Tiea Chatman of Waskom. Jefferson’s Taurria Hood was nominated.

Defensive MVP was Jade Moore-Simon of Tatum. Jefferson’s Taurria Hood was nominated.

Newcomer of the Year was Gabby Coleman of West Rusk.

Outstanding Sophomore was Qhenja Jordan of Troup. Keinysa Wallace of Jefferson was nominated.

Coach of the Year was Patricia Nelson of Tatum.
