Judge receives Bachelors

Coverson named Teacher of the Year
Alex Coverson, a 2001 JHS Graduate, was awarded McKinney ISD’s Scott Johnson Middle School Teacher of the year recently.
“Challenging behaviors are often seen in my classroom. So we have process for working through those behaviors. Recently I broke the laminating machine while working with a student. So I made it a natural teaching moment. Sometimes we need help, so we asked for help. When we got back to help the student had me follow the protocol. We had extra work to do and she made me call my mom. She made the connection,” Coverson said in a video released by McKinney ISD.
Jones receives BA in Psychology
Centenary College of Louisiana held commencement exercises for the Class of 2024 on Saturday, May 4, at the Gold Dome. The College awarded bachelor of arts and science degrees to undergraduates as well as master’s degrees in education and business.
April Jones of Jefferson was awarded a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology during the ceremonies.
