Delilah Ann Rasberry

Funeral services for Delilah Ann Rasberry, 86, of Jefferson, will be held on Saturday June 1, 2024, at 11am in the Cpt. Wm. Perry Chapel of Haggard Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Danley officiating and under the direction of Haggard Funeral Home. A time of visitation will be held an hour prior to service at the Cpt. Wm. Perry Chapel of Haggard Funeral Home. A private burial will be held at Hillcrest Cemetery in Haughton, Louisiana.

 Delilah Ann Rasberry was born on March 28, 1938, in Loveland, Colorado to Waynard W. Huff and Mary Ann Wiley and went to meet her Heavenly Father on May 26, 2024, at the age of 86.

She married John H. Henneck Jr. at the age of 16 and had four children- John H. Henneck, Jr., Ralph A. Henneck, Laura Lea Henneck, and Lisa Henneck.

Her husband died when her youngest was 6 months old. Delilah was 21.

She raised her children and later married Jack L. Rasberry in 1978. They had a happy marriage for more than 45 years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her stepfather, Charles Leslie, her son, Ralph, a brother, Waynard Huff, Jr. and a sister, Diedra Romaine. 

She is survived by her husband, Jack; children, John Henneck, III, Laura Davis, and Lisa Slade. In addition-5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She is also survived by brothers, Lowell Leslie and Gary Huff; sister, Carla Leslie Anderson; stepsister, Shari Lynch.

She was a Christian, a member of the First Baptist Church in Jefferson, Texas where she served in many roles including director of a mixed adult Sunday school department. She also sang in the choir. She was a member of The Gideons Auxiliary and conducted a bible study with the women of Marion County Jail on Sunday afternoon for many years.

She was an excellent artist and painted many beautiful landscapes, some she saved, some sold, and some donated. She also made beautiful wedding cakes and delivered hundreds. She was an excellent seamstress and made many wedding dresses.
