According to a press release from the Jefferson Police Department Wednesday morning, missing Jefferson resident Donovan Byrd was located Monday, July 8, deceased.
JPD stated the manner of h is death and circumstances are still being investigated and that nothing further will be released at this time given that it is an open investigation. An autopsy to determine cause of death is pending.
“We extend our deepest condolences to Mr. Byrd’s family and friends during this very difficult time,” JPD Chief Florentino Perez said.
JPD worked with Marion County District Attorney’s investigator to locate Byrd.
