It was a one-sided first half as the Jefferson Bulldogs racked up points against the Newton Eagles.
The first quarter and half of the second were dominated by Thimyus Taylor’s (#2) passing game to Chris Love (#3) causing Newton to be behind by 18 points before getting on the board. The half ended with a 24-6 lead by the Dawgs.
The third quarter saw the Eagles starting to get their game together, but the Bulldogs continued their passing game to keep them at bay.
Jefferson’s Kamran Williams (#5) controlled the running portion of the game leading the Dawgs in the fourth quarter and sealing the Eagles fate.
