Last week, Jefferson’s varsity volleyball team defeated Big Sandy 3-1 (20-25, 25-19, 25-11, 25-21) in four sets.
Top players for the game were:
- Ava Phillips with 9 kills, 16 assists, 3 aces, and 6 digs
- Rayleigh Gulk with 1 kill, 4 aces, and 5 digs
- Kourtlyn Dowell with 19 kills, 1 assists, 3 aces, 5 digs, and 2 blocks
- Christiana Justice with 5 kills, 14 assists, 2 aces, and 10 digs
- NahNah Wallace with 3 kills, 1 aces, 9 digs, and 1 block
- Janaa Goynes with 4 kills, 1 assists, 1 ace, 13 digs, and 2 blocks
- Brooklyn Clark with 2 assists, and 11 digs
- Brynlie Braddock with 2 aces, and 12 digs
- Alyssa Williams with 2 kills, and 8 digs

The Lady Dawgs will play New Diana in the District Opener on Friday at 4:30p.
The Lady Dawgs are 2-12 for the season and New Diana are 18-10.
