Dan Police was born on February 8, 1967, in Hughes Spring, Texas. He was the beloved son of Pinkie Lee and Edward Police. On September 24, 2024, at the age of 57, Dan was peacefully called home while at Parkland Hospital in Dallas, Texas.
He received his education at Jefferson High School in Jefferson, Texas. He married Kendra Pope Police November 28, 1994.
Dan is preceded in death by his mother Pinkie Lee Police and father Edward Police, his sister Linda Faye Brown, and three other siblings. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Kendra Pope Police, and five daughters: Candis Ross (James), Ka’Shiya Andrews, Ashley, Ciera, and Destinee Police all of Dallas, TX. He is survived by 8 siblings: Jimmy Rockwell (Thelma) of San Diego, CA, Robert Police (Barbara) of Arlington, TX, Rev. James Police (Vickie) of Ore City, TX, David Police (Shirley) of Jefferson, TX, Earlie Graham of Dallas, TX, Barbara Law of Dallas, TX, Shirley Ruth Durden of Dallas, TX, and Ollie Ruth Narcisse of Houston, TX, 6 grandchildren: Ke’Taihj T. Andrews, Kynidee Rheign Oliver, Jeremy D. Police, Jayden D. Police, Josiah D. Police, and Jonah D. Police, his nephew Lawrence Law of Segoville, TX who was like a brother, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, close friends such as Peggy Cox, Lora Falls (Aunt Ran), and cousin Lacaonda Gilkey.
Special acknowledgments to Dan’s nephews Destin Mosley and Javorius Ransom as well as his cousin Barnard Stance for their support during his final days.
Dan’s legacy of love, strength, and family will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
