The Hive celebrated its second anniversary last Monday with extended hours, bringing out the afternoon crowd for a community celebration.

Known for its cozy atmosphere and excellent coffee, The Hive has become a popular spot for both locals and visitors. The celebration featured a DJ, their full menu coffee bar, and plenty of food, including burgers and hotdogs. The event was filled with full bellies and warm connections, highlighting the sense of community The Hive has fostered over the past two years.

Owner Kristi Bullock reflected on the milestone, stating, “These have been two of the most amazing years of my life. I have met so many wonderful people, opened a beautiful community coffee shop, and accomplished things I never thought I could.” Kristi shared her passion for building a space where people can come together, noting how rewarding it is to see customers form connections. “Every time somebody comes in and I see them make connections with other people here, it just warms my heart,” she added.

The Hive’s menu is as diverse as its patrons, offering a variety of drink options from coffee and espresso to tea. Breakfast favorites like frittatas and scones are served alongside lunch items such as sandwiches and salads.  As the seasonal change comes in, they are  preparing to introduce new seasonal items to its menu, continuing to provide the community with fresh and exciting options. Patrons love the shop for its inviting space, whether they’re looking for some personal downtime or a place to catch up with friends.

In addition to its “bee”-themed décor, The Hive features a unique touch—a small dinosaur named Rexy outside the shop, welcoming everyone who stops by. The anniversary celebration was a true testament to the strong sense of community that Kristi and her team have built, and The Hive continues to be a buzzing hub for all who visit.
