Longview, Texas – The Marlena Cooper for Texas House campaign
announced today that the campaign will be holding a media availability and
press conference. All members of the media and public are invited to
attend.
The availability will be held at 1113 N. Walcott St, Jefferson, TX at 10:00am
this coming Thursday, 17 October, 2024. Mrs. Cooper will be highlighting
the need for rural healthcare throughout Marion County and East Texas.
Mrs. Cooper was born in the hospital on 13 December, 1981 and the
hospital later closed. In recent years, hospitals in Mount Vernon, Gilmer,
Clarksville and Rusk, TX among others have closed their doors.
As State Representative, Marlena Cooper will lead the battle to bring
additional healthcare funding to the state. She will continue to speak out for
expanded access to healthcare in rural communities. Marlena Cooper, from
