Memorial Services for Shirley Mae Partridge, 94 of Jefferson, Texas will be held on Monday February 10, 2025, at 11:00am in the First Methodist Church of Jefferson Texas with Rev. Mark Crim officiating and under the direction of Haggard Funeral Home.
She was born in Lancaster, CA and later moved with her family to a farm in Apple Valley, CA. where Roy Rogers and his first wife were their neighbors. From there she graduated high school and went to college. After her second year in college, she was offered a job in Hughes Aircraft where she was a secretary to Howard Hughes. Years later she met the love of her life Richard Partridge. They were married in 1960, They had two children together, Ken and Marla. Shirley and Richard moved to Texas in 1979 where she continued to work in escrow and real estate in Marshall TX. She also worked in Dallas Texas where she was a bank Auditor for Ge Mortgage. In 2007 she lost her husband and joined the First Methodist Church in Jefferson. She got involved in the community where she ran the food pantry called Blessing of Grace. Later she went to work writing grants at CNA classes for a branch of Panola College that was located in Jefferson, Texas. She won several community awards then retired from community work and spent her last years loving on her great granddaughter who called her Gigi. She lived a very full life and even now would say “Whoo Hoo what a ride”.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry Rainbolt and Reva Dingman; husband, Richard Partridge; sister, Wilma Jean Frank; great grand dog, Moose.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Ken Partridge, Marla Keith and husband Brian; grandchildren, Haley Smith, Jacob Keith and wife Karley; great granddaughter, Maylee Smith.
