
Funeral Services for Raymond Delbert “Jake” Kitzmiller, 55, of Longview, Texas were on Saturday April 12, 2025, at 2p in the Cpt. Wm. Perry Chapel of Haggard Funeral Home with Bro. Craig Evers officiating and under the direction of Haggard Funeral Home. Internment will immediately follow at Mims Chapel Cemetery in Avinger, Texas. A time of visitation will be held an hour prior to service from 1-2p in the Cpt. Wm. Perry Chapel of Haggard Funeral Home.
Mr. Kitzmiller was born on November 10, 1969, in Westminster, Maryland to Raymond Curtis Lawless Jean Carol Ebeling and passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2025, in Longview.
He grew up in Maryland and graduated from Franklin High School. Not long after he started his career with Asplundh Tree Expert in Pennsylvania. In 1995 Raymond moved to Texas to continue working with Asplundh.
He is preceded in death by his father, father-in-law, Terry Wicker; grandson, Paxton Shannon; grandparents, Delbert and Margaret Ebeling.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Shannon Kitzmiller; mother, Jean Ebeling; daughters, Ashlyn McCullough and husband Tristan, Heather Shannon and husband Christopher, Harley Grandstaff and husband Jeremy “Shorty”; sons, Hayden William, Holton Capps with wife Samantha; siblings, Toni Vargo and husband Rob, Dusty Kitzmiller and wife Katie; grandchildren, Carson McCullough, Preston Shannon, Peyton Shannon, Purity Shannon, Thea Shannon, and Andrew Grandstaff.
Those serving as pallbearers are Rob Vargo, Dusty Kitzmiller, Ricky Pike, Jesse Thompson, Holton Capps, and William Dixon.
Honorary pallbearers are Peyton Shannon, Purity Shannon, and Andrew Grandstaff.
