Mims Christmas
The Mims Christmas Market is from 10a-2p on Saturday. It supports the Mims Volunteer Fire Department. There will be a light lunch for sale of hot dogs or chili pie. Chips and a drink come with it. There will be vendors from the farmers market as well, as some new ones. Come get local honey, dog treats, wood working, crochet items, and a special guest, a children’s book author and much, much more. Located at 12728 FM 729 in Avinger.
Brushy Creek
USACE and Friends of Lake O’the Pines are holding their 6th Annual Brushy Creek Christmas Drive-Thru Light Show 6-9p Dec 12-13 at the Brushy Creek Campground. Donations go to Friends of Lake O’the Pines.
Taxes
The Marion County Appraisal District has mailed out yellow notices to many homestead residents in the County. This notice is to verify owners still have their homestead exemption on their property. The forms MUST be returned by December 15 or the homestead exemption can be removed from the property.
APL
Animal Protection League will be in Jefferson from 10a-2p Monday, December 16 at the vacant lot next to Port JeffersonOutpost, 220 N Polk Street, with low-cost spay/neuter, and vaccinations. They are in Jefferson generally once a month.
