Cross Country continues to improve performance

The Jefferson High School Cross Country team is hoping to continue their trend of time improvements week over week today as they travel to Hallsville for the Hallsville Invitational.

Last weekend the team were at the Yellowjacket Invitational in Mineola where both boys and girls runners showed improved times.

Varsity girls improving their times were: Vanesa Bautista, Jordyn Davidson, Avery Ephraim, Lillyan Snowden, and Cayley Christy.

JV girls improving times were Makenna Erler, Kali Grogan, and Dejia Jones.

Varsity boys with improved times were Gus Snowden and Alex Aviles.

Two weeks ago the team also showed improvements at the Tyler Legacy Cross Country Meet.

 Varsity girls  with improvement were Bautista, Davidson and Snowden. Other solid performers for the varsity girls were Emma Pierce, Ephraim and Christy. Makenna Erler with the JV girls improved her time.

Kaliyah Whitaker with the JJHS team also improved her time. 

Varsity Boys team members Aviles and Dyllan Boyd improved their times. Snowden also had a solid performance at the meet.

The JHS Cross Country team will travel to Hallsville today for the Hallsville Invitational and the Junior High runners will travel to Hallsville on Saturday.
