Despite the rain lay night and projected for today, the burn ban in Marion County remains in effect until enough rain has been received.
It will take several days of good soaking rain to allow the ban to be lifted.
The Marion County Judge Leward LaFleur will issue a new notice lifting the ban. The current ban was put in place August 7, 2023, and continues until further notice.
