- MC Judge Leward LaFleur gave an early morning COVID-19 Update: Great news, Marion County was notified by DSHS that another 2 active cases of COVID-19 have now been marked recovered bringing our case count to 6 active and 9 recovered!
- Sheality announced new arrivals are coming in today. So head on down to Shop! (Polk Street next to Nail Salon)
- The Mary Lou Glass Park & Fitness Trail held a workday on Wednesday and has another scheduled June 3. They have also expanded their fundraising to GoFundMe. They’ve raised over $1,000 so far. The restoration is being done by Kevin Godfrey‘s daughter Ella.
- Amelia Blake will be at McGarrity’s from 6:30-9:30 Saturday

- Dawg Pound: JUNIORS, SENIORS, AND PARENTS–PROM REFUNDS ARE BEING WORKED OUT. There were more important matters to address when everything started, then focus moved to GRADUATION. The how and when of ticket refunds is being worked out. Once we have everything set, you will be notified. Please be patient, you will get your money back.
- 🍕Bulldog Pizza is now accepting applications. We are looking for energetic and responsible people that can work any shift. Applications can be picked up in person only during our business hours. No phone calls please.
- Heritage Baptist Church staff was blessed to do some shopping for a Marion Country resident who is sheltering-in because of physical health needs. Michael Diedrich picked up a shopping list, went to the store, and delivered the groceries to the house. What a blessing to help folks in our community. Our church staff is available to assist our community when needed. Thank you, Bro Michael for being a blessing to this dear lady!
- Hometown Fitness has changed ownership and will be opening June 1 after they finish remodeling. The word on the street is that they will be starting classes as well. If you look at the images on Google Maps you can see they have some new spin class cycles. - Lighthouse Grocery and Bar returned to open at 5p today at 25% occupancy
- Auntie Skinner’s goes to 50% occupancy on Friday with expanded hours. Thursday 11-8; Friday and Saturday 11-10; Sunday 11-8; Memorial Day 11-8
- Dixie Youth Baseball and Softball decided to cancel their 2020 season due to state requirements, etc. coaches will be contacting team members. They plan to use the downtime to work on the fields for upgrades and improvements.

- Marshall PD posted: If your Texas driver license, CDL, or Texas identification card expired on or after March 13, 2020, you get a temporary extension by order of Governor Abbott. Once driver license offices reopen, you will have 60 days to renew your license without facing a penalty. The same guidelines applied for expired registration stickers, but the Harrison County Courthouse Tax Accessor is now open 200 West Houston, Suite 108. Their staff is available from 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Visitors must wear a face mask, maintain social distance, and only one customer allowed inside at a time per clerk window. You may expect a short wait at peak hours.
