Marion County Judge Leward laFleur issued a BURN BAN for all of Marion County at 2:36p October 9, 2024, and remains in effect until terminated by either the Texas Forest Service or the Commissioners Court.
“Please note any outdoor cooking with charcoal grills will be above the ground, and/or enclosed. Fire rings, ground fires, or any open grills at ground level are not allowed.”
Violation of the ban is punishable by up to a $500 fine.
