Memorial services for Grant Mitchell, 87 of Englewood, Colorado will be held on October 24, 2024 at 2pm in the Cpt. Wm. Perry Chapel of Haggard Funeral Home with Pastor Dennis Morris and Pastor Mark Crim officiating and under the direction of Haggard Funeral Home.
Grant Mitchell, the oldest of four children, was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on April 5, 1937, to Haskell and Myra Blanks Mitchell.
He grew up on a farm in New Mexico and graduated from Los Lunas High School where he was a three sport athlete. As a freshman Grant played on the University of New Mexico basketball team before graduating from the University of Albuquerque. He joined the Mountain States Telephone & Telegraph company and remained in the Bell system until his retirement in 1992 as Director of Network Operations. He then started his own consulting business Netcom Solutions. In retirement Grant enjoyed having more time to spend with his favorite pastime, GOLF.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Jean Cunningham.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Deanna; son, Clay; sister, Linda Shadel; brother, Paul Mitchell; sister-in-law, Pamela McCasland. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and other extended family and friends.
