Grand Opening

The Midnight House, 116 N Vale, will hold their Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting at 6p Friday, December 20. 

Spaghetti

Christ Episcopal Church will hold their annual Spaghetti Supper from 5-7:30p January 6 at the church. The $15 meal includes spaghetti and meat sauce, salad, garlic bread and dessert. Children under 8 are free. Proceeds will benefit the Blessings of Grace Food Pantry, the backpack program, and ministries of the Episcopal Church Women.

MLK Banquet

Tickets are on sale for MCDCSCO’s annual MLK Jr Day banquet on January 20, 2025. A souvenir program will be sold this year with ads at $25 or $50. Proceeds benefit the Marion County Diversified Civic and Social Concerns Organization scholarship fund. Contact Mary Spearmon at 903-738-3028, or the Jimplecute at 903-665-2462 for more information.

Tax Donations 

Looking for a last minute Tax Donation for the 2024 year? Consider making a donation to one of the various Non-Profit Organizations in Marion County. These organizations work to provide support, services, and activities for all residents of Marion County. Some opportunities include, but are not limited to: Jefferson Carnegie Library, Jefferson Historic Society and Museum, the Marion County Community Center, Friends of Jefferson Animals, Opera House Theatre Players, our various Volunteer Fire Departments, and Area food banks like Blessings of Grace, or Lake O’the Pines Dream Center. Donations are tax deductable and proceeds go to a worthy cause.

Bible Study

Cumberland Presbyterian Church is hosting a weekly bible study every Wednesday night. The evening starts with a 6p supper, and bible study from 6:30-7:30p led by Shane Shaddix. All are welcome.

 Gardening 

The “Bloom and Roots” Garden Club invites anyone interested in gardening to come join them. They meet the 2nd Monday of each month. For more information, Contact June Hughes, 903-930-5104.
