  10. Consider action approving the Krewe of Hebe Mardi Gras Upriver 2027 Special Event Application for February 4th through February 7th, 2027.
  11. Consider action approving the Jefferson Historic Pilgrimage Special Event Application for April 29, 2027 through May 2, 2027.
  12. Consider action approving Nicki Williams Application for Building Permit at 909 Saint John Street. (Storage building/carport).
  13. Consider action approving an Interlocal Agreement with East Texas Council of governments for Database Maintenance for FY 2027.
  1. ACTION ITEMS (The below items will be considered for action: 
  1. Consider action on a resolution approving volunteer benefits for members of the Jefferson Volunteer Fire Department.
  2. Consider action on the Texas Health Benefit Pool Renewal Notice and Benefit Verification for Plan Year January 1, 2027 through December 31, 2027.
  3. Consider action on an ordinance prohibiting vehicular parking, stopping, and standing, on State Highway 59 within the City Limits (1st Reading).
  4. Consider action on waiving first reading and adopting an ordinance repealing certain fees and provisions relating to a City Master Electrician’s License and Municipal Court Technology Fee preempted by state law.
  5. Consider action to repeal certain City Council action taken at the April 21, 2026, Regular Meeting regarding the funding for the Safe Industries proposal for the city to purchase a Fire Master Tanker Truck for use by the Jefferson Volunteer Fire Department by removing the funding source, which was Republic First National, and substituting Riverside Bank of Jefferson, in its place.
  6. Consider action to make appointments, reappointments and/or removals from the following City Boards, Commissions and Representatives: Planning and Zoning Commission, Tourism Board, and Jefferson Economic Development Corporation Board (JEDCO). (Ald. Taylor Johnson)

  15. EXECUTIVE SESSION

The public portion of the Jefferson City Council meeting is now in recess to call the meeting to order in executive session in accordance with Texas Government Code Section 551.071 (Attorney Consultation), 551.072 (Real Property), and 551.074 (Personnel Matters) to deliberate upon and seek legal advice regarding the following subjects:

  1. real estate involving city property located at the intersection of Austin and Washington Streets;
  2. duties of the City Attorney
  3. POST-EXECUTIVE SESSION ACTION ITEMS 
  4. Consideration and possible action on any of the items identified above for deliberation in executive session, if recalled for action by any Council member.
