The Marion County Commissioners Court will meet at 9 a.m. Monday in their regular meeting and will talk about a grant from TxDOT to work on the airport runway.
The project is the final phase in a 3-year matching grant provided by TxDOT. The phase will cost the county $30,000, with the state providing an additional $270,000. Previous phases have included lighting improvements among other items.
In other business the Commissioners will also discuss:
- Naming the Jefferson Jimplecute as the office Paper of Record for Marion County
- Approve funding a requirement of TxDSHS for employees to obtain a criminal background check for anyone who will be accessing the TxEVER system
- Putting 2 pieces of property back on the Tax Rolls
- Approving a Sewer Service Quote from David Lawler for connecting a portion of the courthouse to the city sewer system
- Discuss options on the Jail Elevator
