Chamber seats new board

2021 Marion County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors were announced this week.  

  • Paul H. Moore is President.  
  • Ashley Granby is 1st  Vice President.  
  • Mark McKay will serve as Treasurer.  
  • Katrina McAlpine is Board Secretary.  

Other board members include Hunter Bonner, Lorie Minter, Bruce Boyd, Doug Thompson and Jim Stacey.  

Paul H. Moore, President, was appointed Interim Executive Director to serve the Chamber until a full time director can be added to the Chamber staff. 

Elaine Altman continues her role in the Chamber office in Accounting.

The new board of directors will kick the new year off with a Strategic Planning Workshop on Saturday Jan. 9 to plan and set short term and long term goals for the organization.   

According to Moore, “We want to come out of this workshop identifying the needs for the Chamber.  We will be identifying our Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats to help us set a better direction for our Vision and Mission for the Marion County Chamber of Commerce.”

One of the planned programs being kicked off this month at the Chamber is the “Ambassadors Club” where more presence of the Chamber is planned for downtown events where our prestige volunteers will help welcome visitors to Jefferson and Marion County.
