Marion County Judge Leward LaFleur finally got notification from TDEM on how residents can register to be vaccinated at Friday’s event.

“It took a lot of phone calls, but we got it worked out,” said LaFleur. “Being one of the first sites, there were some kinks TDEM had to work out, so it delayed us. But they’re done now and we’re getting registrations.”

There are 100 doses of the vaccine available this first time but LaFleur hopes residents will go ahead and register so the mobile unit will keep coming back.

Registration is available from the County’s website, https://co.Marion.tx.us

Shots are restricted to groups in the 1a and 1b phases, which are individuals over 65 and those over age 16 with a chronic illness.
