To the Citizens of Marion County:
Thank you for the honor of being named Marion County Citizen of the Year! It certainly came as a BIG surprise!! Yes, I burst into tears! I am honored to be in the company of many citizens who have done so much for this community. I never wanted to seek recognition, but instead, to help others. I love Jefferson and Marion County and I am proud to live here!
As a challenge, I am asking that everyone use their gifts and talents, given by God, to work together in helping others. We can all be of service to someone in some way. As I always say “Let’s do this thing!”.
