Hosea McCain, a WWII veteran and resident of Ore City, Texas, celebrated his 103rd birthday on July 22, 2022. He is seated on the front porch of the home he built for his family in 1960. He shares it with his wife Mary. His great great nephew Grayson stopped by to visit him on that day. Mr. McCain still drives, and you may see him in his community taking his friends and neighbors on small errands. Mr McCain’s birthday wish is to have his front porch screened in as well as having a shower installed and kitchen sink replaced. The local VFW post donated material and volunteered their time to screen in the front porch. Donations are being accepted through a GoFundMe account in his name to cover the other repairs.
