Shalom family and friends,

In this month of February, we hear about love. We see Valentine’s hearts, candy, stuffed animals, and diamonds advertised flooding the media and store shelves.  This entices the public to buy these things to show you love someone!

Many people are thinking and talking about buying someone they love and care about a gift.  Sure it’s nice to receive a gift and it is a wonderful warm hearted caring thing to do.

We must also consider those who are alone those who won’t be receiving a gift.  However, not receiving a gift doesn’t mean they are not loved!

A natural gift is not what love is about.  That gift will soon disintegrate, because those things will not last forever.

The greatest gift of love ever given was for the whole world who is the Son of God; Yeshua.

For God so loved the world He gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16

Yeshua is the gift of love, life, hope, and comfort to the lonely.  He is love.

According to the ancient Greek studies of love, it is classified into different types of love.  There are many sources that define many other kinds of love, but let’s take a look at 4 different type of love.  Eros : erotic, passionate love.  Philia:love of friends and equals.  Storge: love of parents for children.  Agape: love of mankind.

According to man’s study, they show what love is.  But in reality, we know this is not always true It is very sad to say there are parents who don’t love their children and children who don’t love their parents.  Spouses who fall out of love.  Judas who turn on friends and mankind.

The world way of love is a form of words but is not profound.

What is true love? God is love.  He that loveth not knoweth not God, for God is love. 1 John 4:8

Many times the world forgets God loves them.  Life is hard and full of disappointments because  of what we think life should be to us.  Therefore, we forget what and who God really is.

God is not loving us to beat us up or make us love Him, nor make us suffer.   He doesn’t get pleasure in that.  He wants us to willingly love him with all of our heart.

If we take a good look at self, we will see we may be the cause of things happening in our life. Many times we try to make things happen that are not meant to be. (many times not all the time)

We live in a fallen world and there is good and evil. We have to learn how to overcome the evil and hurts of this life and that is only through Jesus who loves us and died for us and is coming back for us.

God’s love is unconditional love.  No matter what we do, He still loves us but we must make the decision to love Him back or to reject Him. Therefore, we are making the decision to be with Him forever in eternity or follow the enemy to hell! (not God’s fault )  Hell was made for Satan, not people.  People make the choice.

God is love.   He died for you and me so we could be redeemed.  So we could be with Him so we could have shalom.

Love is patient and kind; not jealous, not boastful, not proud, rude or selfish, not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrongs.  Love does not gloat over other people’s sins but takes its delight in the truth.  Love always bears up, always trusts, always hopes, always endures.  Love never ends, but prophecies will pass, tongues will cease, knowledge will pass.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8

Dear friend, let us love one another for love comes from God.

1 John 4:7-21

This is how God showed His love among us:  He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through Him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that He loves us.

1 John 4:7-21

It’s God loving us first not that we loved him first.  He loved us before we ever knew Him.  That is the amazing gift of love bestowed upon us by the loving father God.

You are not alone in this world and you are loved !  Yeshua loves you !

Hebrew word for today love: Ahavah
