Lester James Williams of Dallas, passed away on Oct 10, 2023.
Mr. Williams was born in Jefferson, Texas where he graduated from Central High School in the class of 1966. He professed Christ at an early age and was baptized at the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Jefferson, TX. After graduation from high school, he attended Bishop College and later left college to work in the Airline industry where he retired from Southwest Airlines after over 25 years. . He owned and operated LW Enterprises on Second Ave in Dallas for over 20 years. He was a life member of the Prince Hall Masonic Lodge where he achieved the 33rd Degree and was Past Master Mason and a member of the Live Stone Masonic Lodge, # 152, Grand Prairie, TX.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Ida Rose of 52 years, daughter, Shannon Williams and grandchildren, Kya and Kolin English. One brother, Lawrence Williams (Diane) of Dallas, two sisters, Brenda Cooper (Sonny), Dallas, Dr. Sarah Williams, San Antonio, and a host of family and friends.
Funeral Services were held at the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, FM Rd 2208, Jefferson, TX on Oct 21, 2023, and Interment was in Coverson Cemetery.
