Sunday night and Monday morning’s continued wintery mix precipitation have continued to blanket the county and created hazardous driving conditions.
Marion County Judge Leward LaFleur posted on Facebook that Marion County “roads are very slick, stay home if you can!”
Texas Highway Department pre-treated the major thoroughfares on Friday and Saturday in preparation, but they, and other roads, continue to have ice accumulations, especially on bridges.
County, City, and JISD will be closed on Tuesday January 16 as a result.
