A letter from The East Texas 100 Club President, Chief Florentino Perez

It is a true honor to serve as the President of The East Texas 100 Club for 2024, established in 2019 its purpose is to support Law Enforcement, Firefighters and EMS personnel and their families. The Club provides financial assistance to the families of our fallen police officers, firefighters, and first responders who pay the ultimate sacrifice and are killed in the line of duty.

Being a police officer myself, I understand the financial restraints many fellow first responders are affected by. When a public service member is killed in the line of duty, separate from the enormous grief and tragedy of the loss within the community, the family of that public servant hurts the most to include the additional financial loss and obstacles they must now endure. The club’s assistance to those families is made possible by the many donors and contributors within the 20 counties that we serve.

The East Texas 100 Club services 20 Counties to include: Anderson, Camp, Cass, Cherokee, Delta, Franklin, Gregg, Harrison, Henderson, Hopkins, Marion, Morris, Panola, Rains, Red River, Rusk, Smith, Titus, Upshur and Wood. All-encompassing 329 different Public Safety Agencies.
