Well, come to the 2nd Annual Texas UFOcon is this weekend at the Jefferson
Tourism and Visitor and join other believers and UFO enthusiasts as they delve into specific cases and recent government finding.
There’s a host of authors, researchers, investigators, historians, and vendors, available to spend time with and discover the mysteries of UFOs.
One of the highlights of the weekend will be the screening of Jay Michael’s “Alien Contact: The Pascagoula UFO Encounter”. This mind blowing documentary, based on true events, featuring eye witness accounts, will be schown and feature a Q&A with the filmmaker.

Presented here with interviews and careful research, we get the full story and get a feeling for what it must have been like.
Nick Redfern, author of more than 60 books on UFOs, the Loch Ness Monster, Bigfoot, zombies, and Hollywood scandal, will be this year’s keynote speaker.
His books include The Rendlesham Forest UFO Conspiracy; The Roswell UFO Conspiracy; Women in Black; Men in Black; Nessie; Chupacabra Road Trip; The Black Diary; and 365 Days of UFOs.
He is a regular on the Travel Channel’s show, In Search of Monsters. Nick has also appeared on the BBC’s Out of This World; the SyFy Channel’s Proof Positive; the History Channel’s Ancient Aliens and the National Geographic Channel’s Paranatural.
Other speakers and experts at this year’s event include:
• Pat O’Connell, author of Bleedthrough: A true story of aliens, demons, and pure evil in Texas.
O’Connell is a professional writer, communications consultant, and training developer for high-tech industries including nuclear power, RFID, telecom, and NASA. She is also a paranormal investigator and author of BLEEDTHROUGH: A true story of aliens, demons, and pure evil in Texas, and is a member of MUFON.
• Tui Snider is an inquisitive world traveler who believes that “even home is a travel destination.” Whether researching forgotten history, unusual destinations, or historic cemetery symbolism, Tui writes books with an eye for quirky details and a touch of humor. Her work has been featured by Coast to Coast AM, LifeHack, WFAA TV, The National Museum of Funeral History and Cult of Weird, among many other outlets. Tui lives in a goth/tiki castle with her mad scientist husband and a stray tabby who adopted her while traveling. When not on the road, she composes music, sings karaoke, watches birds, and practices poi ball routines in her backyard.
• Daniel Alan Jones is an investigative reporter for The Vortex, a show that explores the mysteries of the world and beyond. He has been researching unexplained phenomena for over a decade and has visited strange sites, conducted numerous interviews, and provided media coverage for several events. Daniel considers his contributions within the communities involved with the quest to understand the unknown a work of anthropology and he manages online groups including the Texas UFO Network and the Texas Cryptozoology Network. He is also a native Texan and professional drummer as well as a private music instructor in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. His new book “Aurora” chronicles over a century of history of UFO sightings and alien encounters going back to a Texas legend from 1897!
• Mitchel Whitington is an award-winning author and historian with over thirty books published in his career, specifically in the genres of history and the supernatural. His latest book, Close Encounters of a Texas Kind, explores the long history of UFO sightings in the Lone Star State, including his own in Jefferson, Texas. Mitchel lives in a 150-year-old home named The Grove with his wife Tami, Marley the cat, and a number of resident spirits.
