Mary Carter

Virginia J. Carter was born August 30,1930 in Mims Chapel, TX to Barry and Hulene Steelman. She went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at the age of 90.

Juanita worked for South Central Bell as a telephone operator. Later in her career she was the first woman to be promoted to the position of frame man. After forty years of loyal service she retired. Juanita had many things she enjoyed doing with her free time. Some of her favorite hobbies included bird watching, shopping estate sales, and fishing! Juanita was also a fantastic cook! As much as she loved talking about and cooking great country meals, her real joy came from giving to others. What a generous and loving spirit Juanita had as she made delicious home cooked meals for shut ins, family, and friends. Helping those less fortunate than her was a true passion. Juanita had an easy and contagious laugh. Finding happiness and humor with her colorful stories often included her devoted and loving daughter Deborah. Their relationship was unmatched and the loved shared will never be replaced. She also held a special place in her heart for her beloved grandson Matt, who was the apple of her eye. Juanita will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her most. Her beautiful life will be remembered and forever cherished.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Deborah Coco and her husband Billy; great aunt Florence Morris and family; grandson, Matt Coco; great grandchildren, Camille Coco, Mallory Coco and her fiancée Zack Kirksey, and Kayllie Coco; great-great grandchild, Elizabeth Grace Kirksey; dear cousins, Jeff Headrick and his wife Brenda, Glen Robinson and his wife Linda, John Allen Boules and his wife Sandra, and Louis Carrol Robinson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and son Lawrence Edward Bramlett.

Deborah would like to give special thanks to Bro. Donnie and Kayron Vercher for their friendship and help during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Wounded Warriors Project.
